Sgolastra Srl is a company that has been active for almost fifty years in the field of drilling equipment and hydraulic cylinders.
It was founded in 1976 by Maurizio Sgolastra, who, with dedication and passion, transitioned from small-scale turning to the production of the first cylinder.
From that moment on, the business specialized, evolved, and introduced drilling accessories, becoming a point of reference in the sector today.
Specifically, we manufacture standard hydraulic cylinders starting from a bore of 25 mm up to 900 mm with special cylinders, covering strokes up to 10,000 mm.
Among the drilling accessories, which range from heads to rotary tables to top drives, we have pipe wrenches and the new TOC wrench, a source of great pride.

The company was founded in 1976. In 1977, small-scale turning activities for third parties began.
In 1981, the new headquarters in Potenza Picena (MC) was inaugurated, starting with turning and forklift maintenance.
In 1982, thanks to the collaboration with leading companies in the drilling sector, the first hydraulic cylinder was created.
During these years, new models of special cylinders with bores up to 400 mm were launched on the market. In 1990, the production of drilling components was strengthened with the help of the first technological tools. In 1993, the production of cement injection pumps began, and at the same time, the design of rotary heads started, expanding the range of production.
In moments of mixed passion and happiness, the first prototype of the "pipe wrench vise" was born. In 1995, there was an improvement in cylinder production with guides that were no longer screwed but bolted.
2004: A success with the first participation in Geofluid Piacenza.
2005: In synergy with the sales network, the first cement injection group is created, consisting of a mixer and a turbo mixer.
2006: Maurizio Sgolastra patents the pipe wrench vise.
2007: Designs and produces the vice bench.
2009: Navigates through the crisis spectrum and implements targeted strategies by creating a consolidated sales network and opening doors to new opportunities.
2010: Expands the production range with new pipe wrench vise models.
Within the range of new models, a hydraulic cylinder with a position transducer is designed and produced, facilitating the reading of the cylinder stroke.
2015: Corporate split. Since March 1, 2015, decision-making power has been entirely in the hands of Maurizio Sgolastra. With his tireless determination and willpower, he strengthens Sgolastra Srl by investing in human capital and high-tech machinery.
2016: Increase in specialized personnel, design, and production of rotary tables with a maximum diameter of 600 mm.
2017: Development of new workbenches equipped with "pipe wrench vices" ranging from 80-830 for the maintenance of down-the-hole hammers, highly appreciated worldwide. The evolution also includes cylinders being enhanced with integrated valves.
2018: The year of investments with support from Industry 4.0 initiatives. Acquisition of a new management system and interconnected high-tech machinery. "Solid foundations for the challenges of the future..."

2022: The year begins with a family agreement.
During the year, a new Modula warehouse management system is installed. Additionally, construction work begins on a new warehouse building.
